Important notes about this pregnancy test

  • This is a new pregnancy testing technology and it was fully funded by the Making Pregnancy Digital initiative (MPD) of the United States Department of Fertility (USDF), in collaboration with The American Association Of Digital Ovulations, and with special guidance from Prof. Dr. Ian Stein from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom.
  • The digital urine sample technology was made possible by the latest release of the WebGL web browser API that allows interactions with the sub-microlayers of any modern LED screen (manufactured after 2013), directly through the web browser. (see all compatible browsers here)
  • There were 610 couples involved in the testing of this online tool, over a period of 2 years, from the US, UK, Netherlands and Norway.
  • The accuracy measured by the team of developers and scientists was 99.9% for the pregnancy test, and 91.5% for the baby gender test.
  • The accuracy of the baby gender test jumped to 98.7% when the male partner placed a sample of their urine on the screen as well.
  • How our pregnancy test works:
    • You select your details from the interactive screen above, such as the type of test you want us to conduct, your gender and age.
    • You'll be guided to step 4, where we'll check if your device is compatible with the digital urine sample technology (it can be a smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC)
    • If your device is not compatible, the center of the white circle will turn to grey. In this case, you can ask a friend to let you use their phone for the test.
    • If your device is compatible, the center of the white circle will turn to red.
    • Once the center is red, our software will start emitting biosensing nanoparticles exactly in the circumference of the red circle, to exploit the optical properties of silver nanoparticles found within the modern LED screens. (read more about the science behind this process here)
    • In this moment, you'll have to place a minimum of 2 drops of your urine directly on the red spot, on the screen. Please note: Make sure that no liquid will get to the sensible parts of the phone such as the speakers, buttons, or microphone, to avoid damage from liquid. Please note that we are not responsible for any damages caused by this process.
    • In you have a waterproof phone, you can place it on the ground somewhere outside, and you can wee on the screen directly - the stronger the jet, the better your sample will be captured by the nano-pores from within your screen.
    • Once the software detects the liquid on the screen, within milliseconds, it will increase the plasmon resonance spectra of the particles from within the LCD screen from 10nm to 100 nm (130nm on iOS powered devices), thus allowing the chemical elements from your urine to protrude through the superior pico-layers of the LCD screen, where our software will extract the necessary biochemical elements that will later be processed and sent to the server to verify your pregnancy status.
    • Once you placed the urine on the screen, you'll have to click or tap on the "Urine is placed" button.
    • At this point, we've processed all the chemicals from your urine locally, and we'll need to send it to our datacenters in the chemical test laboratory via the internet, for complex analysis. All of this will happen within seconds.
    • You'll have to wait from 5 to 15 seconds, depending on what your age is, your height and weight, whether you're a vegetarian or not, and 86 more factors that we are using to detect your pregnancy status.
    • Within the 5-15 seconds mentioned previously, the automated test system in our laboratory has generated the results and you will see them on the screen, along with a break-down of the most important chemicals related to your pregnancy.
  • The aim of this online pregnancy test is to take advantage of the latest technological innovations to make pregnancy testing and gender detection more convenient for millions of women and couples around the world.
